Job Title: Service Advisor

Job SummaryThe Service Advisor is the first point of contact for customers visiting the service department. This role is responsible for welcoming customers, directing them to the appropriate personnel, and ensuring a professional and friendly first impression. The Service Advisor supports the service team by assisting with vehicle intake, traffic flow, and customer needs, contributing to a positive overall service experience.
EssentialJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet all customers promptly and courteously as they arrive at the service department.
- Assist customers with check-in by directing them to a service advisor or appropriate staff.
- Communicate with service advisors to ensure smooth traffic flow in the service drive.
- Maintain an organized and professional appearance in the service drive and waiting area.
- Provide general information and answer basic customer inquiries.
- Move or park customer vehicles as needed to assist with traffic flow (if applicable and licensed).
- Notify service staff of customer arrivals in a timely manner.
- Perform light clerical duties such as handing out forms, assisting with appointment confirmations, or providing updates.
- Support the dealership’s commitment to customer satisfaction by delivering a welcoming and helpful experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior customer service or front-line hospitality experience preferred.
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if vehicle movement is required).
- Friendly, courteous, and positive attitude with strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to move, park, and retrieve vehicles as needed.
This position is classified as Non-Exemp
t under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a workweek. The employee is entitled to meal and rest breaks in accordance with applicable state and federal labor laws.
