8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible; early/late meetings as needed)

The Quality Engineering Lead supports the Client’s Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process – ensuring supplier quality, risk mitigation, and manufacturing excellence for energy systems. You will collaborate with suppliers across Asia, review process compliance, and lead corrective actions to uphold the Client’s quality standards. This is a high‑visibility role within the Energy Quality Engineering team – ideal for candidates with strong APQP/PPAP knowledge, circuit board manufacturing experience, and the ability to work independently across global time zones.

$45.00/hr – $47.00/hr

• Lead execution of the APQP process for assigned suppliers and programs.
• Review program milestones and elevate issues to management as needed.
• Ensure supplier compliance with Client standards, quality systems, and risk controls.
• Conduct on‑site supplier audits and verify corrective actions (Asia‑based suppliers).
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve quality issues quickly and effectively.
• Review documentation and manage supplier communication in English.
• Support public charging quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field (Applied Math, Physics, etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in Quality or Engineering (automotive or EV components)
• Expertise in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and Control Plans
• Strong understanding of circuit board/electrical component manufacturing
• Skilled in print reading, GD&T, and statistical quality control
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams
• Ability to work autonomously and travel 40–50% internationally (Asia)

• Familiarity with IATF standards and automotive supplier launches
• Experience supporting suppliers in China, Thailand, Vietnam, or Taiwan
• Associate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience (considered)
• Hybrid work model:
  Tues–Thurs in office (Warren, MI), Mon & Fri remote
• International travel: 4x per year (Asia‑based suppliers)
• Potential for direct hire with Client for strong performers
