Shift: PT 24 hours per week, day shift 7:30-4pm.
Macomb Breast Center in Warren will be the home base, but with the ability to float to Surgery Center (St. Clair Shores) and Liggett (Grosse Pointe Woods).

• Performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images for interpretation.
• Sets up and adjusts all equipment and manually maneuvers transducers to perform exams.
• Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures.
• Performs routine and complex studies and assists in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Recognizes significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations.
• Ensures equipment is properly functioning. Reports potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel. Locks/tag out equipment if appropriate.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Assists in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
• Makes sure compliance with regulatory agencies.

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree within 6 months of hire, or Technical degree required within 6 months of hire.

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted.
  • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) also accepted.
  • Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 months of hire date or job transfer date.

• Must be ARDMS Registered in Breast Sonography or become registered within one year of hire or ARRT registered in Breast Sonography.
• Able to work independently in a comprehensive breast center performing diagnostic breast ultrasound exams; assisting radiologist with performing breast biopsy procedures.
