Position: Behavioral Health Technician - Part Time 24 hrs./week - Night Shift - Warren

Behavioral Health Technician - Psychiatric Nursing Unit - Part Time (24 hrs./week - Night Shift)

Eligible for Full-Time benefits.

Shift: Nights 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Rotating Weekends.

General Summary

Provides direct behavioral health patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living.
• Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
• Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in condition and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
• Establishes a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.

Certification/Licences Required

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Certification/Licences Preferred

• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred.

Education/Experience Required

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Education/Experience Preferred

• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health preferred.
• Minimum Associates Degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork mindset, fast-paced environment.
