Position: Patient Care Technician 5E Orthopedics Unit - Full Time 36 hrs./week - Nights - Warren

Patient Care Technician - Ortho Unit - 36 Hours - Nights

Shift: Nights 7ń0 pm to 7:30 am, alternating weekend schedule

GENERAL SUMMARY

Performs basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Aids with movement and placement of patients.
• Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Reports findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Documents necessary records.
Keeps patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.

Certifications / Licences Required

• BLS Provider 文 obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Certifications / Licences Preferred

• Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.

Education / Experience Required

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Med-Surg experience preferred.
