Operations Manager at AVI Food systems
Location:
Utica, MI – Salary: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00

Responsibilities- Direct daily food service operations to ensure team members have appropriate equipment, inventory, and resources to perform their jobs in a university campus setting
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures so that guests receive the highest level of service and food quality
- Supervise all aspects of cash handling, including balancing the safe fund and cash register audits
- Maintain production records such as par levels, waste logs, and temperature logs
- Supervise all team members
- Monitor safety and sanitation standards to meet federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Handle customer complaints properly and promptly by being attentive to suggestions and requests
- Manage inventory and the budget by controlling costs and complying with budget requirements, making adjustments when necessary
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
- Follow and enforce all safety requirements at accounts, which may include personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and ear protection
- 3 or more years of management‑level food service production experience
- Previous experience leading, supervising, training, and coordinating the activities of others
- A degree in nutrition, food service management, health administration, dietetics, or a related field is preferred
- Willingness and desire to take an involved, hands‑on approach to leading the business
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision‑making ability
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Previous management experience required
- Ability to manage financials and achieve goals
- Excellent communication skills for communicating with fellow workers and customers
- Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
- Problem‑solver
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving history
