We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SENIOR VERTICAL MILL MACHINIST to join our Machine Shop and Manufacturing team. The Vertical Mill Machinist works to set up and operate vertical milling machines for high-accuracy metalwork.

You’ll handle milling, drilling, boring, tapping, and reaming operations, using your knowledge of materials and machining to plan and execute each job with precision. You’ll secure work pieces, set up tools, adjust feeds and speeds, and verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. If you know your way around blueprints, setups, and measuring tools—and take pride in doing things right the first time—we want to hear from you.

Work type:
On-site at local Paslin locations. Not available for remote work.

Expected hours of work:
Typical work schedules for this site are 6am-2:30pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime:
This position is for regular, full-time work and may require coming in early, working late, or working on weekends to meet the needs of the business.

Travel:
This position may require occasional travel to customer sites or local travel to other Paslin locations.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a manufacturing site environment. This is a safety sensitive role, which includes working around moving equipment and machinery.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. This role requires the use of hand operated tools and machine controls. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 40lbs.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 7+ years of Machinist experience, Acer or Bridgeport milling equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures
• Able to read blueprints and set up equipment accordingly
