Base pay: $21.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Vertical Mill Machinist

The Vertical Mill Machinist works to set up and operate vertical milling machines for high‑accuracy metalwork. Responsibilities include milling, drilling, boring, tapping, and reaming operations; securing work pieces, setting up tools, adjusting feeds and speeds, and verifying dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and gauges. The role requires strong blueprint reading skills, setup proficiency, and a commitment to precision.

Type:
On‑site (local Paslin locations, no remote work)

Hours:

6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday‑Friday
Overtime:
Early, late, or weekend shifts may be required to meet business needs.
Travel:
Occasional travel to customer sites or other Paslin locations.
Environment:
Manufacturing site with moving equipment (safety sensitive).
Physical Demands:
Regular standing, walking, bending, and twisting; hand‑operated tools and machine controls; occasional lifting/pushing/pulling up to 40 lbs.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
• 3+ years of machinist experience, Acer or Bridgeport milling equipment a plus
• Knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures
• Able to read blueprints and set up equipment accordingly
