OverviewAs a Material Expeditor, you will be an essential part of the mission—working on‑site with Army engineers and technicians to manage, move, and track critical materials that support vehicle integration, fabrication, and testing. Your role places you at the center of advanced military R&D, where precise material handling and logistics directly enable innovation and help reduce risk to soldiers in the field.
Responsibilities- Provide technical services in the areas of loading and unloading of shipments of material from trucks, trailers, racks, and material conveyances.
- Arrange shipments and materials in an organized manner and locate shipments in designated areas within the shop for future use.
- Use overhead cranes and forklifts (hi‑lo’s) of various sizes to move materials inside and outside of the shop area.
- Pack and unpack crates, stencil, weigh, wrap, and band equipment and supplies for shipment or storage, following the delivery procedures for marking and storing shipments in designated areas.
- Operate shop‑floor cleaning equipment necessary to maintain the main aisles and display areas within the shop.
- Follow all safety, regulatory, and environmental/hazardous standards in accordance with ISO 14001.
- Be capable of standing all day and lifting 45 lb.
- Assist in facility management activities, including logistics, inventory control, inventory management, material and equipment dispositions, and other facility responsibilities.
- Have a minimum of one year of experience operating various sizes of wheeled forklifts and be capable of obtaining a Hi‑Lo operator’s license.
- Possess knowledge of electronic and manual inventory processes and have a minimum of one year of experience with an electronic inventory tracking system, including barcoding, scanners, and the process for storage of materials.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Pass a federal background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three years of related experience.
