We are seeking skilled machinists with experience in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidates will be responsible for machining, programming, and ensuring high quality products while adhering to safety and quality standards. Working at Futuramic means being part of a collaborative, problem‑solving culture where each team member contributes to mission‑critical programs that push boundaries of technology.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Read blueprints, set up and operate machine tools.
- Plan the sequence of operations and select appropriate tools and materials.
- Prepare, calibrate, adjust machine to be ready for production.
- Produce precision parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances critical to quality standards and requirements.
- Maintain machine and equipment to adhere to safety and quality standards and requirements.
- Understanding of ITAR / FOD as required for aerospace and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machining processes.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Strong GD&T knowledge
- Strong understanding of blueprints
- Ability to operate and maintain machining equipment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing and machining.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Must be able to move fast and consistently.
- Must be able to stand at machine for entire workday.
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, balance, and rotate body.
- Observing, receiving, and communicating to aid in completing tasks.
- Minimum 2 years of technical training
- Minimum 5 years of machining and shop experience including set‑up and programming.
- 5‑axis Gantry style machining experience (Bretons, Ingersoll, Dayton, Union, 3‑axis vertical boring mill)
- Mastercam and Cimatron software knowledge
- Competent in CAD software
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Crane operation knowledge and/or certification
- Competent in using and reading basic measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with quality control processes.
- Work schedule is Monday – Saturday (10 hours M‑F, minimum 6 hours Saturday)
