Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance duties including set‑up, installation, fabrication and repair to maintain building and equipment under the guidance of the Lead Maintenance Technician. May provide training and/or supervise less experienced staff.
  • Lead and direct the company’s health and safety objectives and support the company’s health and safety directives to provide a safe and healthful workplace for all employees.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state and federal legislation.
  • Establish plant‑wide measurable goals that meet or exceed industry standards, and are monitored, tracked and audited regularly.
  • Recognition of accomplishments/milestones in safety, environmental, ergonomics and employee wellness.
  • Develop effective programs that increase employee awareness and involvement in safety, environmental, ergonomics and wellness.
  • Enforce safety rules and implement necessary training and corrective actions to maintain objectives.
  • Utilize Total Preventative Maintenance principles to perform required preventative maintenance for building and all manufacturing equipment.
  • Oversee installation of new equipment by contractors as required.
  • Perform daily start‑up and shutdown procedures and repair any manufacturing equipment in case of failure.
  • Assist in maintaining a spare parts inventory for all manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform necessary in‑house projects and keep an up‑to‑date log of project timing.
  • Identify and correct any safety issues inside the facility.
  • Maintain inter‑shift communication via shift notes in the Communication Log daily.
  • Follow company policies and business objectives in daily facility operations.
Knowledge and Education
  • Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Work Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of programmable logic controls.
  • Experience with six‑axis robotics.
Health and Safety Requirements
  • Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory compliance with local, state and federal legislation.
  • Establish plant‑wide measurable goals that meet or exceed industry standards and are monitored, tracked and audited regularly.
  • Recognition of accomplishments/milestones in safety, environmental, ergonomics and employee wellness.

  • Accountability of supervisors for enforcing safety rules and implementing necessary training and corrective actions.
Physical Demands
  • Normal amount of sitting.
  • May be required to stand in excess of 6 hours.
  • May be required to lift, push and/or pull 60 pounds.
  • Average mobility to move around a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
  • May require travel.
