About the roleAs a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing various mechanical, maintenance and repair work including the inspection and maintenance work required for rotating machinery and equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic may inspect and adjust the mechanical alignment of pumps, replace or rebuild pumps, replace fan bearings, replace motors, repair screw conveyors, rebuild or change gearboxes, install and modify pipelines, and assist in the modification and addition of plant projects.
Also, you will be responsible for the planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance tasks required to ensure safe and efficient operational effectiveness of equipment and systems which enable Reworld's processes.
- Effectively complete preventive maintenance tasks per maintenance schedule to prevent breakdowns of equipment and operational downtime.
- Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
- Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair and installation of equipment, tools, and utility systems to minimize production downtime and complete all required paperwork and documentation.
- Repair and/or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment including inspection, assembly, disassembly, and replacement as necessary.
- Observe and evaluate the operation of machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions utilizing mechanical devices.
- Review maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.
- Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety performance standards.
- Order supplies and parts.

- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Valid Driver's License required
- A minimum of five years of experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment
- and maintenance of heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time.
- Must be fluent in reading blue prints and P&'s. Must be capable of performing welding in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW. Welding of Stainless Steel, Inconel, and ability to certify or qualify to NBIC code specs is a plus.
- An understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is required.
- Specialty skills such (plumbing, machinist, millwright, etc.) are a plus.
- Demonstrate safety conscious behaviors.
- Ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, hand trucks, drill presses, grinders, conveyors, gas welding, brazing or cutting apparatus, and various other heavy equipment.
- Must be available to work overtime, weekends, nights, holidays and respond to call-ins as plant operations dictate.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills are a must.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) to include a negative pressure respirator in accordance with OSHA Regulation 29 CFR . Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
