A Day in This RolePicture your day beginning at a clean, organized workstation inside our prosthetics electronics cell. You review assembly instructions and technical drawings for a microprocessor-controlled knee or foot module, then prep boards and harnesses for precise, reliable connections.
- Solder electronic components to printed circuit boards (PCBs), including through-hole and surface-mount points.
- Assemble and route wire harnesses to specification as part of the electronics build.
- Operate soldering tools and related equipment safely and with fine control.
- Inspect each joint and assembly for quality, accuracy, and conformance to standards.
- Collaborate with teammates to maintain flow and meet production goals.
- Assist with additional electro-mechanical assembly tasks as needed.
- Keep your area clean and organized to promote safety and efficiency.
- Proactively report material shortages, discrepancies, or issues to your supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of hands‑on soldering experience required; 5+ years preferred.
- Proficiency with both through‑hole and surface‑mount soldering techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Industry certifications such as IPC‑A‑610 are a plus.
