Overview

Insight Institute of Neuroscience & Neurosurgery (IINN) and Insight Surgical Hospital are seeking a contingent Day Shift RN for two shifts per week (two 12-hour shifts per week or 12 and 8-hour shifts). Must be able to pick up weekends. IINN aims to advance neuroscience and medicine through research and advanced technology, with a patient-focused, collaborative care approach. Contingent Day Shift RN needed

2 Shifts a Week (two 12-hour shifts per week or 12 and 8-hour shift)
Must be able to pick up weekends

• Directs and provides professional perianesthesia nursing care for an assigned group of patients across the age continuum.
• Provides pre- and post-operative clinical nursing care.
• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to direct or provide nursing care.
• May supervise other PACU or pre-operative staff and make decisions in the absence of the Manager of Patient Services or Manager of Surgical Services.
• Maintains a safe, professional pre-op and PACU environment and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and supports a positive professional culture.
• Communicates professionally and proactively with staff.

• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
• Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Within 60 days of hire, obtain ACLS certification.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others; excellent verbal and written English communication skills for safe patient care and documentation.
• Willingness to participate in goal-setting and professional development.
• Previous PACU, ambulatory care, critical care, or general nursing experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm, professionalism, and adaptability.
• Adheres to professional nursing standards.
