Key Responsibilities- Coordinate total nursing care for patients across a newborn-to-geriatric population in a 10-bed Emergency Department
- Participate in patient and family teaching, ensuring patient rights and privacy are protected at all times
- Collaborate cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards as defined by the ANA Code for Nurses, the ANA Nursing's Social Policy Statement, and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements
- Maintain individual competence in nursing practice and demonstrate responsible acceptance of individual actions and clinical judgments
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- Active Michigan RN license required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS or ENPC certification required (ENPC accepted in place of PALS)
- TNCC certification required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Must reside more than 35 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates within 35 miles are considered local travelers and may be subject to a reduced rate
- Experience with Paragon EMR
- Familiarity with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio environment
- Experience caring for a broad patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric
- Work within a dedicated Emergency Department team providing around-the-clock coverage for both minor and severe injuries and illnesses
- Opportunity to practice in a structured, fast-paced acute care environment with a clearly defined dress code (blue scrubs) and established clinical standards
