This role offers a base pay range of $40,000 – $60,000 per year.

• Initiates automotive services and repairs by assessing performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer rapport and records.

• Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customers' descriptions of symptoms; clarifying descriptions of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
• Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explains provisions and exclusions.
• Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor; calculates customer's payment, including deductibles.
• Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems and causes discovered, and preparing required repairs and services; obtains approvals; enters the RO into the service database system.
• Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtains customer approval of estimates; gathers and provides contact telephone numbers; answers questions and concerns; arranges towing and temporary transportation.
• Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
• Enhances organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new requests; explores opportunities to add value.

• Equipment Maintenance, Lifting, Problem Solving, Reporting Research Results, Quality Focus, Productivity, Estimating, Product Knowledge, Customer Service, Safety Management, GM vehicle and Dealer track DMS experience.

• Troubleshooting: determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do.
• Reading Comprehension: understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work‑related documents.
• Writing: communicating effectively in writing.
