Job Description

Berk Enterprises is a stocking global supplier of food service disposables located in Northeast Ohio and has an opening for a seasoned Customer Service Representative. The ideal candidate needs to have a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience including working with a computer software to enter orders and credits. Experience with EDI orders encouraged.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and enter orders into computer software that are faxed, received in email and taken over the phone.
  • Validate all EDI orders; add notes for back-order items, out of stock items, and item changes; set pick and delivery dates; approve and email to the customers.
  • Suggest additional items for purchase.
  • Create a relationship with the customer and notify them of where the status is of the order throughout the process.
  • Update all customer profiles in the computer software.
  • Contact the Shipping department for any freight quotes and communicate the quote to the customers.
  • Enter any necessary credits on the customer’s account including freight claims in a timely manner.
  • Assist the sales team with orders, returns, inventory questions and customer inquiries.
  • Review open order report weekly to see what can be completed and/or closed and research why an order may still be open.
  • Research back orders and connect with the customers to determine if the order should be cancelled or moved forward.
