Lead Process Engineer – Warren, OH –

Salary: $87,260 – $107,780 USD.
Job DescriptionWe’re working to create better care for billions of people worldwide. This on‑site role leads technical efforts in design, development, optimization, and operation of assigned assets, ensuring safety and performance standards, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

Scope- Own machine and process health/effectiveness.
- Drive center lining on the asset – identify key parameters, ensure adherence to centerlines, and lead root cause analysis if critical‑to‑quality or critical‑to‑process parameters shift out of centerline.
- Champion Clean‑Inspect‑Lubricate on the line and ensure its health check and effectiveness.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) of breakdowns working with the asset team.
- Drive execution of maintenance plan for the line in close collaboration with the maintenance planner.
- Custodian for all reporting – ensure KPI calculations meet KC global standards and are reported accurately.
- Work with Digital and DTS teams to drive use of Power BI reports, MES, OSI/PI, and other digital tools.
- Adhere to process standards and continuous improvement programs.
- Ensure strong adherence to critical process parameters and operational best practices.
- Support strategies for efficient changeovers and material quality management.
- Lead trials and establish optimal run settings.
- Apply engineering principles and problem‑solving methodologies to resolve complex issues.
- Develop and maintain processes and standards that meet safety requirements.
- Lead initiatives to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Manage initiatives to improve asset performance and deliver cost savings.
- Provide technical support for operations and maintenance.
- Collaborate on projects from design through commissioning.
- Coach, mentor, and collaborate with team members.
- Support training and development plans for process roles.
- Uphold organizational values and ways of working.
- Bachelor’s degree (Chemical Engineering, Paper Science, or related discipline) – or advanced degree.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in high‑speed consumer product manufacturing and/or staff environment.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects by required time frames.
- Experience with manufacturing analysis tools – statistical process control, design of experiments, process capability studies, Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing.
- Preferred:
Extensive knowledge of personal care production equipment and processes. - Demonstrated ability to write and present updates to leadership.
- Multiple years of plant manufacturing and staff support or capital project assignments.
- Experience working with external technical service providers.
- Familiarity with high‑speed manufacturing equipment machine startups.
- Experience with Kimberly‑Clark engineering procedures and processes.
- Normal scheduled hours may vary to support 24/7 operations.
- Flexibility to travel up to 15% for benchmarking and best practice sharing across NA.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Potential shift coverage to support assets, projects, or initiatives.
- US Grade 10.
