Overview

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Boardman Ear, Nose and Throat at Mercy Health. This role supports primary care delivery under physician direction and provides patient care within scope and state guidelines. • Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients and the community in a respectful manner.
• Prepare and review patient charts for upcoming visits, verify diagnostic test results, hospital reports, and other medical records are correct and up to date.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, height) and assist with examinations as needed.
• Perform departmental clerical duties such as inventory checks, stocking supplies, tracking referrals, and answering phones as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly as required.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  High School Degree or GED.
• Licensure/Certification:
  Active Medical Assisting certification from one of the following (required): CMA; RMA; CCMA; NRCMA; NCMA; NCCT; A
  -OE acceptable if MA certification cannot be obtained (not accepted in SC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required at hire for some locations; preferred at hire in others; required prior to independent patient care at some facilities).
• Experience:
  
  One year of medical assistant healthcare experience (preferred, not required); two years of clerical experience in a physician’s office (preferred, not required).
• Skills & Abilities:
  Strong problem-solving, basic computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Professional interaction with staff and patients; ability to work in a team and adapt to duties as assigned.
