Unit Information

The Intermediate Care (IMC) Unit is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our award-winning team. Our 30-bed unit includes 14 private rooms and 8 semi-private rooms, and we provide care for a diverse patient population including those with cardiac and pulmonary conditions, as well as patients experiencing surgical complications. Unique to our unit, we are one of the few areas outside of the ICU that cares for ventilator-dependent patients with tracheostomies.

We strive to maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure safe, high-quality care and support for our staff. The IMC team is a dynamic mix of experience levels, from new graduate nurses to professionals with over 30 years of service. The Progressive Care (Step down) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status
• Acting as the service line between Med-Surg and ICU units
• Determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs
• Developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes
• Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment
