Retail Assistant Store Manager - 3159 at First Cash

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience. This position is responsible for day-to-day store operations, promoting a positive and productive environment, developing team members, maximizing financial goals, and maintaining customer relations. This role works with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit, retain top talent, and target new customer acquisitions.
CompensationPay range: $13.00 to $17.00 per hour
. The role offers an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. The retail sales associates can earn up to 8% commission on transactions, which could average an additional amount on top of the hourly rate.
Average pay and commission vary by location, qualifications, and store performance.

- Working hours typically 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM; many stores closed on Sundays.

- Vacation: 1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks after 1 year, 2 weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after 5 years.

- Facilitate a customer-centric environment; engage customers professionally and address issues promptly.
- Train and monitor Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through prescribed channels.
- Open/close the store, manage cash drawers, and protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Analyze financial statements and drive profitability.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate store mission and profit objectives clearly to employees.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods as required by law; including standing, lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Minimum Age: 18;
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. - Ability to work in multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours per week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and standard office equipment.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Analytical skills and cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent work ethic and business sense.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Assistant Store Managers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Additional details provided during the interview process.
