Fitter & Welder

• Read and interpret blueprints and job orders to meet precise specifications.
• Select equipment and determine layouts, assembly, and welding techniques based on project requirements.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components, securing them with bolts, clamps, and tack welds.
• Perform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of metals, including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
• Set up welding machines and equipment, including gas-shielded arc welding tools.
• Perform repairs by dismantling, reshaping, straightening, and reassembling parts as needed.
• Move materials using hand trucks, forklifts, and cranes when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all safety regulations.
• Perform additional assembly-related tasks and other duties as assigned by supervisors.

What you need to be successful:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in TIG or MIG welding, or a combination of both.
• Must possess a verifiable welding certification and successfully pass an onsite welding test.
• Previous experience with fitter work — including layouts, fitting, tacking, and assembling parts — required.
• Knowledge of plasma cutters, carbon gouging, machine shop tools, and equipment is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow detailed technical instructions and blueprints.
• Physical ability to handle heavy materials and operate welding tools safely.
