Robert J McCabe Construction Inc is looking for a seasoned and dependable Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute a variety of residential construction and remodeling projects. This role involves hands‑on carpentry, team leadership, and close coordination with project managers and clients. The ideal candidate will be an experienced builder with a deep understanding of framing and finish work, jobsite supervision, and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and perform framing, finish carpentry, and general construction tasks
- Interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and job specifications accurately
- Direct and supervise crew members on daily jobsite activities
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment
- Communicate progress, updates, and needs to project managers and clients
- Monitor project timelines and ensure work is completed on schedule
- Ensure all craftsmanship meets company quality standards
- Identify and resolve issues on the jobsite proactively
- Train and mentor less experienced team members
- Maintain detailed documentation and daily reports as needed
- 5+ years of residential carpentry experience required
- Experience leading crews and managing jobsite logistics
- Strong understanding of wood and metal framing, finish carpentry, and remodeling practices
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
- Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to high‑quality workmanship
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift, carry, and work with construction materials and tools
