Management Accountant

We are hiring exclusively for our client, an established and expanding business, who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team outside Newry.

The Role:

• Support the Financial Controller with management information, analysis and financial modelling
• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, reports, and variance analysis
• Lead on financial data manipulation, account analysis, and system development
• Participate in investment appraisal and decision support
• Liaise with payables and receivables functions to support month-end close
• Assist in preparing year-end reports and external audit documentation
• Own the preparation and successful completion of internal audits
• Deliver high-quality financial output in line with tight deadlines
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

The Person – What We’re Looking For

• Fully or part-qualified in ACCA, ACMA or ACA
• Advanced Excel proficiency – able to manipulate, analyse and present financial data effectively
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Previous experience using SAP is desirable, but not essential
• Positive, self-motivated, and eager to drive change and support improvements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider finance team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Flexible and commercially aware, with a proactive approach to problem solving
