Customs & Freight Administrator

VANRATH are looking for a Customs & Freight Administrator to join a well-established freight and logistics business.

Our client is an established transport and logistics provider with a strong reputation in the industry. As the business continues to grow, they are looking to attract ambitious, hard-working individuals who want to build a career with a company that values its people.

This role will see you processing customs documentation for cross-border shipments, working closely with the transport team and customers to keep goods moving on time.

• Preparing and submitting customs declarations for goods moving between GB and Ireland through the relevant online customs portals
• Setting up the movement references needed for loads to cross the border
• Liaising with customers to obtain the shipment details and documents needed for clearance
• Submitting supplementary declarations as required
• Keeping accurate records and filing all shipment paperwork
• Working closely with the transport team to keep loads moving

• Previous customs experience (1+ years)
• Ability to work in a busy environment and adhere to critical timescales
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
