Job Overview

The University of Central Missouri is seeking a Facilities - Director Admin for project management of construction and renovation projects on university property. The position is a full‑time, 12‑month faculty benefits‑eligible role located in Warrensburg, MO.

Salary: $69,000.00 per year

Location:

UCMO – Warrensburg, MO

• Lead all phases of design, construction, and renovation projects (Cradle to Grave) from program development through warranty period.
• Coordinate architectural/engineering design, bidding, contract administration, and construction of all externally contracted and in‑house projects.
• Serve as the in‑house University Architectural Engineer, selecting and advising professional service firms retained by the University.
• Manage project budgets, schedule, scope changes, and performance using earned value tools and verification techniques.
• Provide quality control, inspections, and corrective actions for all contract construction work.
• Supervise and direct physical plant operations, deferred maintenance, and capital renewal budgets.
• Function as the contracting officer for capital projects, including coordination of the budget for major capital projects.
• Coordinate research for finance opportunities (grants, state funding, other sources) and interface with outside agencies relevant to capital projects.
• Perform other project management duties as assigned, including support activities and small‑to‑large complex construction projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field (equivalencies: AA = 2 yrs experience; BA/BS = 4 yrs; MA/MS = 6 yrs; PhD = 8 yrs).

• Three (3) years’ experience in planning and construction management, including coordination with architects, engineers, and construction personnel; oversight of budgetary activities related to construction.
• Experience with Computer‑Assisted Design.

• Indirect supervisor – delegate work of a unit to subordinate supervisors or managers.

• Manage budget – 10%
• $50,000 sign‑off authority.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
