We’re looking for a forward-thinking problem solver and change-maker ready to help take Nex Form to the next level. The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the manufacturing facility. This position directs all plant operations, including Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), and Human Resources, to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective manufacture of products that meet customer expectations.
The Plant Manager develops and executes operational strategies that drive continuous improvement, employee engagement, operational excellence, and financial performance while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide overall leadership and direction for all manufacturing operations within the facility.
- Establish and execute plant objectives aligned with company strategy and business goals.
- Foster a culture focused on safety, quality, operational excellence, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Develop and coach plant leadership while promoting teamwork and succession planning.
- Lead plant communication initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Direct daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
- Monitor operational performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure customer requirements are consistently met through effective planning and execution.
- Optimize labor, equipment, and material resources to maximize operational efficiency.
- Lead plant performance reviews and develop action plans to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and manage the plant operating budget.
- Monitor labor, manufacturing, maintenance, inventory, and operating costs.
- Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Support capital planning, capital investment decisions, and return-on-investment analyses.
- Achieve plant financial objectives while maintaining customer service and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
- Champion a zero-incident safety culture throughout the facility.
- Partner with Quality to ensure compliance with customer requirements, IATF 16949, ISO standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical business practices.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Drive improvements in productivity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), throughput, inventory management, and cost performance.
- Promote innovation and best practice sharing across departments.
- Support digital manufacturing and process automation initiative
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team.
- Establish performance expectations and conduct leadership evaluations.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development.
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive manufacturing experience.
- At least five years of plant or operations leadership experience.
- Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Multi-department leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering, quality systems, maintenance, and financial management.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence principles.
