Sr. Project Manager at Palmer's Contracting Group, Specializing in SCIF and Tenant Construction
Palmer's Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage secure construction projects, focusing on interior renovations compliant with ICD 705 standards. This position requires a highly organized and proactive individual who can manage multiple small- to mid‑sized projects simultaneously, ranging from maintenance and facility repairs to specialized secure space fit‑outs.
Preferred candidates will have experience with secure facility requirements, including SCIF construction and NISPOM compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of construction projects—from planning and scheduling to execution and close‑out—ensuring compliance with ICD 705 standards and customer requirements.
- Coordinate and allocate project resources, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.
- Oversee on‑site activities and ensure adherence to project specifications, security protocols, and safety regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between internal teams, subcontractors, government clients, inspectors, and local jurisdictions.
- Oversee project documentation, submittals, and secure space construction checklists.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain cost‑effective project execution.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues or delays.
- Proven experience in construction project management, preferably in secure or government facility environments.
- Working knowledge of SCIF construction, ICD 705 requirements, and NISPOM standards is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances and pass a background check.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
