200 index, Drone Shield is experiencing a period of hypergrowth. Revenue has surged from A $57 million in 2024 to over A $190 million in 2025, representing growth of more than 400% year-on-year, with record profitability and cashflow. The total addressable global market for counter-drone is assessed at approximately $100 billion, and is currently at the nascent stage with much of the growth still to come, with Drone Shield well positioned as a global market leader, and the only public listed pure-play business in this sector.

The company has grown from 11 employees in 2017 to over 450 staff globally today, and is on track to reach around 550 by the end of 2026. This expansion includes investment of over A $50 million annually in R&D, a global pipeline exceeding A $2.5 billion, and continuous scaling of production capacity to meet accelerating demand.

The role is based at Drone Shield’s central Sydney headquarters. Overseas on-the-ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Netherlands, Denmark, Mexico and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries worldwide.

The company is seeking a Solutions Engineer with relevant experience to join the U.S. tech team. The position will report to the Director of Engineering. It represents an exceptional opportunity for a results-driven individual in a new niche but exploding market. This role is primarily focused on engaging with customers and partners, presenting technical information, and developing solutions tailored to customer needs.

• Assist in the pre-sales process by providing succinct technical information to customers and internal team members
• Generate and provide technical presentations and proposals throughout the sales process
• Demonstrate and utilize a deep understanding of Drone Shield’s product offering, solutions, technology, and roadmap.
• Answer customer requests for information and requests for proposals
• Prepare and lead technical product demonstrations for customers
• Assist partner integration and collaboration efforts.
• This role requires up to 50% travel, 25% is typical.
• This role is required in-office at Drone Shield’s Warrenton, VA office

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities including customer facing, in person, technical presentation experience
• Comfortable operating in a Linux environment with solid fundamental understanding of networking, systems, and software
• Technical expertise with networked devices, telecommunications, radio frequency, electronic warfare or machine learning/ artificial intelligence systems is highly favorable
• Previous experience working in the Defense, Aerospace, or Public Safety industries is highly regarded
