AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep our customers’ cloud experiences running smoothly. The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction activity within operational data center spaces to optimize utilization of space, power, and cooling. This role requires a proactive, experienced Data Center Project Manager to serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers, overseeing all disciplines—including electrical, mechanical, controls, and architecture—to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions for operational challenges.

As the Data Center Project Manager you will:

• Lead project oversight and reviews across all engineering disciplines.
• Identify areas for improvement and act on data from cross‑functional teams.
• Coordinate, implement, execute, control, and complete projects that improve electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems.
• Ensure projects align with company strategy, commitments, and goals.
• Work independently and within multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver results.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Experience carrying new design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems
• Experience with power management and power monitoring systems

• 5+ years of project management in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure
• Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and SOPs
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations (Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA)
• Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings for all domains
• Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical data center infrastructure
