Overview
Job Description - Non Certified, Surgical Services Technician-PRN-Varies )
Responsibilities- The surgical services intern assists with the total care given by the interdisciplinary team members to the surgical patient under the direction of the registered nurse.
- The surgical services intern will be required to work under the direct supervision of the registered nurse at all times for direct patient care.
- Patient care is provided in preoperative preparation, intra-operative assessments, and post-operative assessments, and the planning and delivery of care.
Training Program / Course Surgical Technician Enrolled/Required. Must be enrolled in a Surgical Technician Certification program of study. Complete surgical technician certification within 6 months of program completion. Current BLS.
Preferred: One year experience as a surgical technician in General, GYN, Urology and Orthopedic procedures.
