Howyou’ll contribute
A Medical Assistant who excels in this role:
- Assists with performing patient assessments and treatment under the direction of the physician or nurse. Provides general patient care in the physician's office setting and completes tasks as directed by the physician or office manager to ensure seamless daily operation.
- Administers injections, vaccines, and medications as instructed by the physician.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection. Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.

The Medical Assistant will perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office.
- Assist with performing patient assessments and treatment under the direction of the physician or nurse.
- Provides general patient care in the physician's office setting and completes tasks as directed by the physician or office manager to ensure seamless daily operation.
- Administers injections, vaccines, and medications as instructed by the physician.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition. Documents patient care given.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent required.
- License: CCMA, CMA, or RMA.
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited organization by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) is required within 6 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 7 days of hire.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant is required.
- Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred.
