American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring a VA or compact RN license and 2+ years of ER experience.

• Acute care hospital setting with a 24-hour Emergency Department
• All patient population through the age spectrum
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Rare floating required, only to a unit appropriate to skill or as a set of hands
• Uses Meditech EHR

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• 2+ years of ER nursing experience required
• Proficiency in ER tasks including phlebotomy, IV insertion, EKG, splinting, wound care, and transporting patients
• Self-motivated and self-sufficient with strong clinical skills
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide emergency nursing care with a focus on creating a positive experience for patients and families while meeting operational metrics
• Team-oriented personality fit preferred
• Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
