The Asset Protection Specialist is primarily responsible for preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in their assigned store. They utilize tools to minimize loss to the Company, including identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, monitoring store security, auditing Electronic Article Surveillance, and driving a shrink-elimination culture in the store.

Interactions with law enforcement and testifying in criminal and civil actions may be required. The role requires reporting hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carrying out responsibilities in a manner that minimizes risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. The position emphasizes integrity, responsiveness to asset protection and operational concerns, and alignment with store-specific business objectives while supporting key asset protection and operational duties.

• Prevent financial loss caused by theft and fraud and support safety and environmental program compliance in assigned store(s).
• Utilize tools to identify incidents of theft and fraud, review CCTV and exception reports, monitor store security, and audit Electronic Article Surveillance.
• Drive a shrink-elimination culture within the store.
• Prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries; preserve evidence and interact with law enforcement as needed.
• Testify in criminal and civil court actions when required.
• Report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a way that minimizes risk of injury to associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.
• Demonstrate integrity at all times and respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates.
• Remain focused on store objectives while supporting asset protection and operational responsibilities.
