The company is seeking a Senior Back End Software Developer with relevant experience to join the development team in Warrenton, Virginia. The role is primarily focused on the development & integration of Drone Shield C2 products for US Customers and Partners.

• C ontribute to the development of our C2 product to meet the demanding operational requirements in real-world deployments aligned to the long-term product vision
• Build features and improvements from conceptualisation to realisation working closely with the global software engineering team
• Implementation of integrations with US-based sensors, effectors, BMS platforms, and enterprise and DoD customer environments, in close collaboration with the global C2 architecture team.
• Take operational responsibility for the services and code base that you will develop

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• More than 5 years’ experience in software development
• Experience developing with Golang, or relevant typed languages (C++/Rust)
• Experience with gRPC is ideal
• Experience working with two or more from the following: distributed and parallel systems, Unix/Linux environments, web application development , developing large software systems, and/or security software development
• Experience developing microservices infrastructure is ideal
• Previous ‘start-up’ or ‘scale-up’ experience is favourable
• You are a lifelong learner. You’re self-taught and continuously learning. You are interested in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise
• You are experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools
• You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments
• You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming and automated testing
• You’re familiar with designing and building distributed and scalable systems
• An abundance of ambition and motivation to grow the company and compete with the big players in the industry
