Maritime Maintenance And Logistical Advisor

Build the capacity of the Tanzania People’s Defense Force (TPDF) Navy, Tanzania Maritime Police, Tanzania Drug Control and Enforcement Authority (DCEA), Tanzania National Police, and Tanzania Customs and Port Authority to conduct maritime and border security operations pursuant to 10 U.S.C.

This program will provide counter illicit trafficking training, with the objective to enhance the capability of the Tanzanian Naval Command and supporting agencies to conduct coordinated maritime security operations to counter illicit trafficking activity in Tanzania’s territorial waters and ports.

• Build the capacity of the Tanzania People’s Defense Force (TPDF) Navy, Tanzania Maritime Police, Tanzania Drug Control and Enforcement Authority (DCEA), Tanzania National Police, and Tanzania Customs and Port Authority to conduct maritime and border security operations pursuant to 10 U.S.C.
• Provide counter illicit trafficking training as part of the program, with the objective to enhance the capability of the Tanzanian Naval Command and supporting agencies to conduct coordinated maritime security operations to counter illicit trafficking activity in Tanzania’s territorial waters and ports.

• Ten (10) years’ experience in the surface maritime domain with the US Navy, US Merchant Marine, and/or US Coast Guard.
• Five (5) years’ hands-on experience in operations and maintenance of SAFEBOAT watercraft or similar mono-hull patrol and other watercraft.
• Five (5) years’ experience in Maritime Supply and Logistics.
• Three (3) years’ working in a foreign country, or named combat operation overseas.
• Two (2) years’ experience developing and delivering maintenance or logistics training modules to foreign militaries.
• Must be a US citizen and maintain a US Passport.
• Must have excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Must be able to travel extensively both domestically and internationally unassisted.
• Must have a US driver’s license or be able to obtain one prior to arrival in country and be comfortable driving in US and partner nation (PN) countries.
