$50,900.00-$70,000.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Plant Services Specialist OverviewAs a Plant Services Specialist
, you’ll be the go-to resource for keeping our facility running smoothly and efficiently. In this dynamic role, you’ll coordinate and deliver a wide range of essential HR and communication support services. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy wearing many hats, this role offers variety, responsibility, and room to grow.
- General human resources and communication activities necessary to administer accurate timekeeping and reporting, payroll, maintenance of personnel files and records, interpretation of policies and procedures, counsel to staff members and assistance to employees as needed
- Ensure new hire protocol (job offers, drug testing, background checks, etc.) is followed. Conduct new hire orientations and facilitate hire process including interview and onboarding.
- Oversee Time & Attendance, leave processing, termination, etc.
- Validate employee eligibility and earnings for annual CIP bonus payouts
- Maintain employee data in HRIS system
- Maintain confidential personnel files
- Act as primary point of contact for HR questions and requests
- May assist with monthly Labor reporting
- Tracks employee evaluations and disciplinary actions
- Oversee Communication efforts including but not limited to company announcements, compliance bulletin boards, quarterly town hall meetings
- May be required to perform other related duties as assigned
- High school/technical school diploma with a minimum of 3 years’ experience general human resources/payroll in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to learn and understand other software applications such as Workday, online travel reservations and electronic expense reporting
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Fundamental mathematical skills and accounting knowledge
- Solid knowledge of local/State/Federal/Government rules and regulations regarding privacy laws, health records, etc.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
- Working knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
- Minimal travel required (0 – 10 days per year)
- May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds
- Work environment is typical of an office setting
