Construction Inspector – ENTRUST Solutions Group

Based in Kendall County, Illinois, the Construction Inspector oversees general construction and fiber‑optic network installation projects, ensuring compliance with client objectives for cost, quality, material usage, and safety.

• Conduct real‑time, on‑site inspections of fiber‑optic network installations.
• Verify adherence to project specifications, safety codes (OSHA, NEC), and permit conditions.
• Supervise fiber‑optic testing (OTDR, power meter) and assess installation quality.
• Review and validate field documentation including redlines, bore logs, and production sheets.
• Provide field‑level decision‑making to reduce crew downtime.
• Perform 100% field audits to confirm materials and labor match design standards.
• Coordinate with contractors to resolve failed audits within agreed timelines.
• Support client oversight with daily reporting and field representation.

• High School Diploma or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience in OSP construction inspection or fiber‑optic infrastructure.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel locally up to 6 days/week (per diem, lodging, and vehicle provided).
