Citrix Architect

Responsibilities

Sentinel is seeking a Citrix Architect (SME) to lead solutioning within the Application Delivery domain of our prominent regional partner. This role is responsible for architecting end-user delivery applications and collaborating across departments to align clinical and business objectives with IT strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Citrix technologies, VDI, VDA, thin clients, and enterprise architecture principles, with a strong focus on healthcare delivery environments.

This is acontract-to-hireopportunity reporting onsite/hybrid to Warrenville, IL or Skokie, IL.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize end-user delivery platforms including Citrix, VDI, Group Policy, Thin Clients, SCCM, Intune, and MDM.
• Contribute to enterprise architecture strategies that drive value, quality, and risk management.
• Align IT initiatives with clinical and business goals to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Evaluate existing systems for performance, security, and cost improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure cohesive project outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in solution architecture.
• Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business strategies.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 7 years of IT engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Citrix engineering experience
• Minimum 1 year of solution architecture experience (2+ years preferred).
• Strong experience with Citrix technologies, VDI, VDA, and thin client environments.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Minimum Certification Requirements

• Two or more mid-to-expert level platform certifications such as:
  • VCP, VCAP, CCNP, CCIE, MZ-AZ, NCTSP, or equivalent experience.
• One or more of the following (or equivalent experience):
  • ITIL, TOGAF, CEAP, PMP.

Compensation:

Citrix Architect $72/hr-$86/hr
