Overview

Outreach is a Christian community service organization providing counseling, case management, youth development, older adult services, and community development. For 50 years, Outreach has changed the lives of thousands of individuals, children, youth, and families in DuPage County, IL. We are hiring a highly competent Part‑time Program Assistant to support students in our after‑school program academically, in life skills, and to support the wider program administratively.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Director and staff at the Warrenville location.
  • Provide front desk coverage.
  • Support core community center events through set‑up, document distribution, refreshments, and clean‑up.
  • Assist the youth services team with college and career visits (and other field trips) and participate in youth program activities (primarily for middle school and high school students).
  • Assist with the completion of the annual community assessment.
  • Support Youth Program activities as needed (helping to purchase supplies, researching potential activities) and assist Case Manager with community events and outreach activities.
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications or a related field preferred.
  • A relational and flexible work style and professional presence.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of a low‑income and diverse population.
  • Strong communication and administrative skills and familiarity with small office procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Internet research skills with research, data management, editing, and project management ability.
