Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a growing international organisation in the recruitment of a Qualified Reporting Accountant to join their established finance team based in Warrington.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a large, complex business environment. The role offers exposure to external reporting, statutory compliance, audit processes and technical accounting, whilst working alongside a supportive and collaborative finance function.
The RoleAs a Qualified Reporting Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality financial reporting activities across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting group and statutory audit processes, including preparing audit information and responding to auditor queries
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT and CIS returns
- Preparing monthly regulatory and statistical reporting requirements
- Supporting external reporting activities and ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines
- Assisting with technical accounting and financial reporting queries
- Building strong working relationships with stakeholders across finance and the wider business
- Supporting process improvements and ad-hoc finance projects as required
- Mentoring and sharing knowledge with junior team members
We're keen to speak with qualified accountants who enjoy working in a technical reporting environment and are looking for a varied role with excellent development opportunities.
You will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Experience with in financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation or financial accounting
- Previous involvement with internal and/or external audit processes
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
