Accounts Assistant

Location: Risley

Accounts Assistant | Birchwood | Up to £35k DOE | 12 months FTC

Forrest Recruitment Ltd are currently hiring for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established distribution company based in Birchwood, Warrington.

Hours of work:
Mon – Thurs (8:30am – 5pm) Fri (8:30am – 2:30pm)

Key duties of the role:

* Assist with the day-to-day accounting and finance functions, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

* Assist with weekly payroll, ensuring payroll information is accurate and submitted on time.

* Prepare and maintain intercompany reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies where required.

* Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports, providing accurate and timely information to management.

* Assist with tax reconciliations, including reviewing balances and investigating any discrepancies.

* Support the wider finance team with month-end and year-end accounting processes.

What we’re looking for:

* Previous experience in an accounts or finance role

* Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and investigate discrepancies.

* Ability to work independently while also supporting and collaborating with the wider finance team.
