DescriptionSummary:
Supporting the Fusion Utility Networks finance function with day-to-day processing, reconciliations and credit control. Working closely with the wider group finance team, project managers and suppliers to keep our records accurate, our customers paying on time and our reporting reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Processing
- Accurately input financial data into our Sage Intacct accounting software, including purchase invoices, expenses, payments and receipts.
- Assist with raising and processing sales invoices, ensuring they are accurate, supported and issued on time.
- Process intercompany balancing and postings with the other group entities.
Reconciliations & Month End
- Support bank reconciliations and other ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and postings, helping to keep the month-end close on track.
Credit Control & Query Resolution
- Communicate with our client base to ensure timely payment of invoices, keeping clear records of all contact.
- Assist with basic financial queries from colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team and wider business as required.
- Suggest and look for improvements to our finance processes as we continue to grow.
- Good basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Good literacy, with clear written and verbal communication.
- Good numeracy and a confidence working with figures.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach.
- Well organised, able to manage time and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Positive, proactive approach and a willingness to learn new systems quickly.
- Reliable team player who works well collaboratively.
Desirable (not essential):
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
- AAT Level 3 qualification (or working towards it).
- Experience using accounting software, ideally Sage Intacct or similar.
- Part time, 28-30 hours per week.
- Ideally worked Monday to Friday, although we are flexible on the working pattern for the right candidate.
- Office-based, Warrington (WA4 4GE
). - 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata).
