Position: ENGINEERING ADMINISTRATOR

Engineering Administrator

Join our Engineering team

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive Engineering Administrator to play a vital role in supporting our Engineering and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) teams.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities, working with contractors and suppliers, and ensuring that compliance and engineering activities run smoothly behind the scenes. You'll be at the heart of our engineering operation, helping to keep statutory inspections on track, managing key documentation, supporting contractor performance and ensuring the business remains compliant.

If you have excellent administrative skills, a keen eye for detail and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your work makes a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

As Engineering Administrator, you'll provide dedicated administrative and compliance support across our Engineering and HSE functions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating statutory inspections and maintaining compliance schedules to ensure all inspections are completed on time.
  • Managing contractor administration, including quotations, RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and supporting documentation before works commence.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for contractors and suppliers regarding documentation, invoicing and compliance requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate records within our compliance systems, ensuring all documentation is complete, up to date and audit ready.
  • Supporting internal audits and regulatory inspections by providing accurate compliance evidence.
  • Monitoring contractor performance, gathering feedback from site teams and supporting service level performance.
  • Verifying contractor invoices against completed works and purchase orders before payment.
  • Producing regular reports and compliance trackers for Engineering and HSE management.
  • Supporting the ongoing migration and maintenance of engineering asset information within our maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Carrying out occasional site visits to support contractor audits, quality inspections and compliance checks.
What we're looking for

You'll be someone who enjoys bringing structure and organisation to busy teams and has a proactive approach to problem solving.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally within engineering, facilities management, construction or a compliance environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data and documentation.
  • Experience managing contractor documentation, purchase orders or invoices.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with experience using compliance or maintenance management systems being advantageous.
  • A collaborative approach and a willingness to continuously improve processes.
Why join us?

This role offers the opportunity to become a key member of a growing Engineering team where your work will directly support business performance, compliance and operational excellence.

You'll have the chance to:

  • Make a real impact by improving engineering and compliance processes.
  • Work closely with experienced Engineering and HSE professionals.
  • Develop your knowledge of engineering compliance and contractor management.
  • Be part of an organisation committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

If you're an organised administrator who enjoys working in a varied role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today and help us keep our engineering operations running safely, efficiently and compliantly.
