Competitive, dependent on experience About the Role Reed Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-established primary school for an experienced and proactive Administration Officer to join their office team from September. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous school administration experience who enjoys being the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will work closely with the school office team, Assistant Headteacher and Education Welfare Officer (EWO), playing a key role in supporting attendance, safeguarding processes and the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
Key Responsibilities Providing a professional and welcoming front-of-house reception service Managing parent, visitor and telephone enquiries efficiently and professionally Supporting attendance monitoring and follow-up procedures Working closely with the Assistant Headteacher for Safeguarding and the Education Welfare Officer Maintaining accurate pupil records and administrative systems Supporting admissions, pupil data and general school administration Managing communications with parents via school communication platforms Assisting with the organisation of school events and day-to-day office functions Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with safeguarding procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Previous experience working within a school office environment Knowledge and experience of: SIMS Weduc School attendance processes Excellent organisational and administrative skills A warm, professional and approachable manner Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with parents, pupils and external agencies The ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritise workloads effectively A proactive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team A good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and attendance procedures
