The company work with a number of Local Authorities and Housing Providers and have a great reputation for their excellent delivery of decarbonisation work.

The company have been established for several decades and have experienced a period of sustained growth over the last several years. To continue this growth, the company are recruiting for a Business Development Director to join their team in a key leadership role.

Summary of the role:

This is a pivotal and strategic role for the business, in which you will be reporting directly to the MD.
You will be responsible for a large team consisting of 3 Business Development Managers and you will also have responsibility for overseeing the Bid Function of the business, as well as the Estimating department.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the Business Development Managers, managing client relationships, being the company representative in client meetings and at events/conferences and more.
This is a strategic role - you will be responsible for identifying opportunities, ensuring the development of relationships with Local Authorities/Housing Providers in alignment with company goals.

Required Experience:

The successful candidate will have experience ideally working for a Contractor within the Retrofit/Decarbonisation sector and you should have an indepth knowledge of Social Housing.
You should also have experience of managing teams of Business Development Managers, bid teams and estimating teams.

The role will be based in North West but will require travel nationally including to the company's regional offices across the country and to conferences, events etc.
