Infrastructure: Design, build and maintain water, gas, power, and telecoms systems for major UK network owners.

Infrastructure: Retrofit, refurbishment, and maintenance projects revitalising homes and communities.
Role Overview
The Quantity Surveyor will act as the commercial lead on allocated projects, ensuring contract compliance, cost control, and effective management of the subcontractor/supply chain. The role offers long-term career growth within a main contracting environment and exposure to complex utility infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Negotiate and agree subcontract terms and conditions
* Manage and process payments for subcontractors and key suppliers
* Ensure compliance with contract obligations and rights
* Monitor project progress through site visits and reporting
* Manage contract variations, amendments, and compensation events
* Assess commercial impact of changes and potential liabilities
* Produce monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and valuations
* Generate Earned Value Analysis and financial reports
* Review weekly cost monitors against forecasts
* Capture, analyse, and report cost variances
* Collate Defined Cost Records for client audit
* Monitor and report on programme and cost performance
* Support project close-out and final payment processes
* Maintain change registers and commercial records
* Collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Candidate Profile
* Experience in civil engineering or utilities infrastructure
* BSc in Quantity Surveying or related commercial discipline
* MRICS or MCIOB desirable
* Strong data interrogation, financial reporting, and analytical skills
* Line management experience
* Commercially aware with legal/contractual knowledge
* Experience preparing management accounts
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential, Access beneficial)
* Previous experience within construction or similar sector
* Full UK driving licence and CSCS card at appropriate level
