Civils Estimator - £65,000 - Warrington
Are you a Civils Estimator looking for a long‑term opportunity with a leading civil engineering and building contractor in the North West? This is a strong opportunity to join our client's established estimating team in Warrington, where you will be supported with a market‑leading package, long‑term development and genuine progression opportunities.
Our client is a well‑established, multi‑discipline Civil Engineering and Building contractor delivering a wide range of projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Civils Estimator who can provide a high‑quality estimating service across individual projects and wider portfolios.
Responsibilities- Prepare tender estimates from first principles using Conquest estimating software.
- Analyse project documentation, identify potential risks, and apply knowledge of construction methods, outputs, subcontractor quotations and material prices to produce accurate, competitive tender submissions.
- Carry out site visits to understand site‑specific constraints, access requirements and project complexities.
- Lead and contribute to discussions with suppliers, subcontractors, senior colleagues and client representatives throughout the tender process.
- Participate in pre‑tender sign‑off meetings, pre‑and post‑tender client meetings and detailed handovers with contract and commercial teams to ensure all tender information, risks and project requirements are clearly understood before contract award.
- Keep up to date with inflation, exchange rates and projected cost movements; obtain feedback from site teams to ensure estimating assumptions remain accurate and reflective of current market conditions.
- Previous experience in civil engineering estimating.
- Strong first‑principles estimating knowledge and experience using Conquest estimating software.
- Confidence in reviewing tender documentation, identifying risk, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and producing robust tender submissions.
Salary commensurate with experience, reviewed annually. The comprehensive benefits package includes:
