What you'll be doing

The Role:
Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor with Balvac, you will support both pre‑ and post‑contract activities across multiple live projects. You’ll be central to ensuring commercial excellence, strong financial governance and the successful delivery of schemes across the region.

What you will be responsible for

You will be responsible for commercial and contractual control of projects, including:

  • Managing commercial strategy and supporting profitability on allocated schemes
  • Maintaining contract cost reporting systems and producing accurate cost forecasts
  • Monitoring costs to completion and managing budgets, variations and change
  • Ensuring subcontract tenders, placement and accounts are administered correctly
  • Managing applications for payment, cash flow and valuation plans
  • Supporting project reviews, monthly reporting and stakeholder communication
  • Ensuring compliance with Balfour Beatty’s BMS and commercial expectations
  • Building strong relationships with customers, supply chain and internal teams
  • Acting in line with Balfour Beatty values and maintaining a focus on Zero Harm
