Salary: £13.69 - £15.83 per hour
Reeson Education is working with a fantastic SEMH school in the WA4 area of Warrington to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a full-time, long-term basis.
This specialist school supports students across Key Stages 2, 3 & 4 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. They provide a nurturing, inclusive, and structured environment where students can develop academically, emotionally, and socially. The school promotes resilience, confidence, and independence, using a positive reinforcement approach to help pupils make meaningful progress.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
Provide classroom support as a Teaching Assistant to students with SEMH needs
Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils build confidence and progress
Support students in developing social and emotional skills alongside their academic learning
Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to tailor learning approaches
Encourage independence and responsibility in students
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
Passion for supporting SEMH students and helping them achieve their potential
Experience working with challenging behaviour or pupils with additional needs (desirable)
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
Ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff
Commitment to a full-time, long-term role in a supportive SEMH school
